Recent GMC decisions
We are able to take a range of actions against doctors, physician associates (PAs) and anaesthesia associates (AAs).
If we decide to issue a warning, or agree undertakings, with a doctor, we'll show it here for 12 months.
If we impose a warning on a PA or AA’s registration, we’ll show it here for 12 months.
If we agree to place conditions on a PA or AA’s registration, suspend them from our registers, or remove a PA or AA from our registers for fitness to practise reasons, we’ll show the information here for 12 months.
If we agree to continue, extend, vary, or replace an interim measure, after a senior decision maker has reviewed it, we will show the information here for 6 weeks.
If senior decision makers decide to grant a request made by an associate voluntarily removed from the register, after concerns about their fitness to practise have been referred to the senior decision makers for consideration, we’ll show the decision here for 12 months.
If a senior decision maker decides a final measure is still necessary, after they have reviewed it, we’ll show the information here for 12 months.

Doctors have a seven-digit GMC number, PAs and AAs have an eight-digit number (7 numbers, preceded by the letter A).
