Students

You’re preparing to join a regulated profession. We want to help you understand what that means.

We work to make sure that your education and training outcomes prepare you to deliver good, safe patient care across the UK.

Our role is to:

  • approve which medical schools, PA and AA course providers can award a registrable qualification, and we continue to assess these schools and course providers, and speak to their students, to make sure their programmes meet our standards
  • set the standards of patient care and professional behaviours that you’ll need to meet when you become a doctor, physician associate or anaesthesia associate.
  • give guidance and advice to help you understand what’s expected of you.

The links below provide more information about what we do and what we offer you. You can also follow us on Instagram.
