Fitness to Practise Liaison Service

If we decide to investigate your concern, we'll invite you to speak to us and talk through what's going to happen and answer any questions. If you'd like, you can bring someone to support you during the meeting. Once we've finished our investigation, we'll offer another meeting to talk with you about the outcome.

The meetings are usually held virtually or by telephone.

Independent Support

You can get support from our independent support service at any time during our investigation. For more information please see the independent support guidance section. 

This is a free and confidential telephone support service run by the charity Victim Support, available to complainants, patients, witnesses and their families.

To use this service, ask your GMC point of contact to pass your details to them and they will contact you directly. Alternatively you can call them on 0300 303 3709 (calls charged at local rates).
