Independent Support
You can get support from our independent support service at any time during our investigation.
This is a free and confidential telephone support service run by the charity Victim Support, available to complainants, patients, witnesses and their families.
You can talk to them about how you’re feeling and what to expect. They can also signpost you to specialist support organisations.
You can access ongoing support with your own caseworker Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. If you need support outside of these times, immediate emotional support is available from their 24/7 team on the same number, 365 days a year.
To use this service, ask your GMC point of contact to pass your details to them and they will contact you directly. Alternatively you can call them directly on 0300 303 3709 (calls charged at local rates).
