Between 17 September 2024 and 30 January 2025 Dr Ibrahim was employed in a clinical position by the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Dr Ibrahim knew that during this period of employment he did not hold a licence to practise. This conduct does not meet with the standards required of a doctor. It risks undermining public protection, specifically patient safety, public confidence in the profession and professional standards and conduct. It must not be repeated. The required standards are set out in Good medical practice and associated guidance. In this case, paragraphs 4. and 81. of Good medical practice are particularly relevant: 4. You must follow the law, our guidance on professional standards, and other regulations relevant to your work 81. You must make sure that your conduct justifies patients’ trust in you and the public’s trust in your profession Whilst these failings in themselves are not so serious as to require any restriction on Dr Ibrahim’s registration, it is necessary in response to issue this formal warning.
