There is a range of organisations available to assist you when raising a concern about the standard of care from a hospital, doctors’ surgery or clinic. They will be better placed than us to investigate your concerns and provide you with feedback.
All healthcare organisations in Wales – whether run by the NHS or privately – must meet the standards of quality and safety set by the Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and the Care and Social Service Inspectorate Wales. While they do not handle individual concerns, individuals can provide feedback on their experience.
Healthcare Inspectorate Wales
Healthcare Inspectorate Wales has the responsibility to inspect, investigate and monitor all healthcare organisations against standards of quality and safety.
Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales
Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales inspects social care and social services to make sure they are safe for the people who use them.
