  • If we invite an individual to a meeting in Wales, we will ask if they wish to use the Welsh language at the meeting. If this is their wish, we will conduct the meeting in Welsh or, if necessary, provide simultaneous translation from Welsh to English. This includes meetings held in person in Wales, and virtual meetings which would otherwise be held in Wales.
  • If we invite more than one person to a meeting in Wales, we will ask if anyone wishes to use the Welsh language at the meeting. If at least 10% of those invited state that this is their wish, we will conduct the meeting in Welsh or, if necessary, provide simultaneous translation from Welsh to English. This includes meetings held in-person in Wales, and virtual meetings which would otherwise be held in Wales.
  • If we organise a public meeting in Wales that allows public participation, we will send bilingual invitations, and any promotional materials relating to a public meeting in Wales will be available bilingually.
  • If we organise a public meeting in Wales that allows public participation, we will include an ask on invitations and advertising materials for attendees to inform us if they wish to use the Welsh language at the meeting.
  • If we invite someone to speak at a public meeting in Wales, we will ask them whether they wish to use the Welsh language and provide simultaneous translation from Welsh to English if this is their wish.
  • If we organise a public event in Wales, we will not treat Welsh less favourably than English when promoting the event, nor in services offered as part of the event.
  • There are separate standards related to meetings with registrants as part of fitness to practise and MPTS procedures.
