Evidence of your knowledge of English
If you've been off the register for less than two years
We do not usually need evidence of your knowledge of English to re-enter the register of PAs and AAs.
If you've been off the register for more than two years
If you left the register more than two years ago, to re-enter the register of PAs and AAs, we need to be:
- satisfied that you have the necessary knowledge of English to practise safely in the UK
- confident you can communicate effectively in English, so that you don't put the safety of your patients at risk.
Communicating includes speaking, reading, writing and listening.
If we need English language evidence, we'll let you know once we've received your application.
