Pension scheme with an employer contribution rate of 15% of salary and an additional employer contribution if you pay a contribution. Pension scheme members save for their income in retirement which includes a pension and an option to take a tax-free cash sum. 

Death-in-service benefits / life assurance is also provided to pension scheme members. An insured element of 6 x times your salary at date of death and a return of your pension fund is payable should you die while employed by the GMC.

Season ticket travel loans are available for rail, tube, tram or coaches to cover travel to work, or a car park for costs related to your journey to work.

Long-term sickness support payable after 26 weeks of absence, providing financial support while you are not at work and support to help you return to work.

Buy and sell annual leave of up to 35 hours (or 37.5 for staff in some areas, and pro rata for part-time staff). 

Flexitime is available to staff from Levels 2 to 6 subject to agreement, allowing you to accumulate up to a maximum of five days (35 hours) flexitime leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff).
