- Restoring your registration example scenarios
The example scenarios below are to help doctors who are applying to get back their registration.
Doctor worked overseas and was erased for non payment of fees
Dr Waters leaves her job in South Africa after 12 years on 31 March. She moves to the UK to start work on 1 May. She held full registration with us for 15 years and was erased for non payment of fees. She submits:
- A completed online application
- A provision of medical services statement from her employer in South Africa
- A CGS from the Health Professions Council of South Africa
- Annual retention fee
- Restoration fee (this is because the doctor was erased for administrative reasons - those who take voluntary erasure are not required to pay a restoration fee).
Doctor gave up her registration and worked overseas
Dr Zbornak gave up her registration three years ago. Since then she has worked in Australia, India, Belgium and Germany. Her last job was in Germany for one month. Before that she worked in Belgium for one month, and before that she worked in India for two years. She has applied to get back her registration and has submitted:
- A completed online application
- A provision of medical services statement from her employers in Germany, Belgium and India to cover three months of employment
- CGSs from Australia, India, Belgium and Germany
- The annual retention fee.
