When can you take the AARA-KT?
We run AARA-KT assessments three times a year. There are sittings in May, August and November. We hold the assessment in a number of locations in the UK.
Upcoming assessment dates are:
- 6 August 2026
- 5 November 2026.
If you’re studying in the UK, you should speak to your course provider about when would be the best time to sit the AARA-KT. Once you’ve received your GMC reference number from us, you can make a booking to sit the AARA-KT via our Contact Centre.
Where can you take the AARA-KT?
Assessments currently take place in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London.
When you make a booking via the Contact Centre, you’ll receive a booking confirmation from the GMC within two working days.
Further information, including the details of the exam venue address will be provided to you within seven days of the exam taking place. You will receive this communication from the GMC approved supplier VICTVS, who are responsible for delivering and invigilating the AARA-KT assessments on behalf of the GMC.
