The AARA-KT is a written knowledge test. It tests your knowledge and application of a range of biomedical, clinical and professional topics and skills. All questions relate to current best practice in the UK.
What does the AARA-KT cover?
The knowledge test could cover any of the core knowledge, skills and professional behaviour expected of newly-qualified AAs entering their first role in the NHS.

How do you answer the questions?
The AARA-KT is a written exam made up of 150 multiple choice questions which you must answer within three hours.
There are a range of question styles within the paper including knowledge recall and clinical scenarios. You can also expect to have to interpret various images and investigations to decide your answer to some questions.
To answer each question, you need to choose the single best answer out of a range of possible options. There may be 4 or 5 possible options depending on the question.
