Who needs to complete the survey?

If you are a named postgraduate clinical supervisor, educational supervisor or equivalent, you will be invited to take part in the survey. Definitions of the two roles are provided below. If you only teach undergraduate students, you aren't eligible.

Clinical supervisors

Clinical supervisors oversee a trainee's clinical work throughout a placement. They give constructive feedback during the placement. And they lead on reviewing the trainee's clinical or medical practice to help educational supervisors determine if the trainee progresses to the next stage of their training.

Educational supervisors

Educational supervisors are responsible for the overall supervision and management of a trainee's learning and development during a placement or series of placements. They help the trainee plan their training and support them to achieve agreed learning outcomes. Educational supervisors are responsible for the educational agreement and bringing together all relevant evidence to determine if the trainee progresses to the next stage of their training.

Although these two roles are distinct, you may have responsibility for both.
