Assurance assessments for doctors

Assurance assessments are a type of performance assessment.

We may ask a doctor to have this type of assessment if they have been working subject to undertakings and there is evidence to suggest they are ready to return to unrestricted practice.

Their purpose is to provide us with objective evidence that the concerns about a doctor's performance have been resolved.
