Doctors who retire

We don’t offer a specific discount for doctors who retire. But you can reduce your fees if any of the following applies:

• your gross annual income is below the income threshold you can apply for income discount.
• you’re not working but you want to stay on the register you can give up your licence to practise.

If you no longer need or want to be on the register you can apply to give up your registration. You will no longer pay a fee, and may receive a refund for any overpayment.
