Your postgraduate qualification
What do I need to provide?
As part of your application you'll need to:
- check we accept your postgraduate medical qualification.If your qualification is not on our list, you'll need to apply for registration through another route
- send us a copy of your postgraduate qualification certificate.
Your postgraduate medical qualification should have been awarded no more than three years before the date on which we approve your application. If your postgraduate medical qualification was awarded over three years ago you will be required to provide further evidence of your recent medical experience.
Note: the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board does not issue letters of equivalence for overseas qualifications.
Primary source verification
You’ll need to have your postgraduate medical qualification independently verified (in the same way as your primary qualification) before we can grant your registration with a licence to practise. Read about what this means for you.
