Registration information for multipractitioners
Setting up multiple GMC online accounts
If you have a GMC Online account for one profession and you have set up an account for another profession, you’ll need to call us on 0161 923 6602 (or +44 161 923 6602 if you’re calling from outside the UK).
This could be, for example, if you already have GMC Online account as a doctor. But you need to add an account because you are also a physician associate (PA) or anaesthesia associate (AA).
For security, our system will temporarily lock your accounts if it detects a duplicate with the same name and date of birth. We will need to remove this block and link the accounts for you.
When you call us, you’ll need to provide:
- proof that you are the same person
- evidence of your primary medical qualification
- evidence of your PA or AA qualification
- a different email address for your new account.

Separate GMC reference numbers and fees
We’ll give you a separate GMC reference number for each role that you hold. And you’ll need to use a different email address for each GMC Online account.
