Payment and tenure

How much are examiners paid?

We pay £310 a day, plus receipted expenses up to GMC limits.

You will be entitled to stay overnight in Manchester if you would need to leave home before 7 am to attend the test by 8 am.

A fee of £155 per day is payable for training days.

What is the period of tenure?

We typically issue 4-year contracts with the possibility of renewal should you continue to meet the requirements of the role.

We review examiners’ performance by a variety of methods.
