Regulating doctors, ensuring good medical practice

Specialty specific guidance for CESR and CEGPR applicants

This page provides guidance for doctors who are applying for a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) or a Certificate of Eligibility for GP Registration (CEGPR) on evidence requirements specific to their specialty.

Finding the right guidance

To find the guidance you need, first find the relevant Royal College or Faculty below (alphabetical by College or joint committee). The specialties are listed alphabetically under their Royal College, Faculty or joint committee. Click on the link to download the PDF guidance. There is a document for each CCT specialty.

If you are not applying in a CCT specialty, please choose the guidance for the specialty that is most similar to yours.

If there is no specialty similar to yours then you can choose the generic guidance at the bottom of the page.

Before you read the specialty specific guidance, please make sure you read our important notice about evidence in support of certification applications.

Divider pack

To help you structure your application as you compile your evidence, please download and print this application divider pack. Use the pages to separate your bundle of evidence into the correct sections.
