Evidence of good standing
We ask all doctors to provide evidence of their good standing when applying to join or leave the register.
This helps us to protect patient safety and maintain the integrity of the profession and allows us to confirm your good standing to other regulators if you need us to.
The majority of doctors do end their registration with us in good standing. However, it's important that we address the risk that doctors may give up their registration before concerns are brought to our attention.
