When you’ve successfully completed all the steps in the Digidentity Wallet app, you’ll receive an email from Digidentity confirming that your registration with them is complete. This means they’ve processed your details in the app. However, you must still complete the final steps in your GMC Online account.
If you’re waiting for us to approve your application for GMC registration, Digidentity’s email does NOT mean that you have GMC registration. We’ll contact you separately within five working days of making a decision on your application.
For doctors only: Please do not start work unless we've confirmed that we’ve granted your registration.
When Digidentity share the results of your ID check with us, we’ll review them and email you to confirm if they were successful.
This can take up to ten working days for us to process your check, so please wait to hear from us.
If there are any issues or we need more information, we'll contact you.
If you’re a doctor and we granted your registration during the pandemic and added notes to our online registers explaining that you hadn’t completed an ID check. After successfully completing your ID check, we’ll remove these notes within 48 hours.
