The PA Registration Assessment (PARA)

If we accept your qualification meets our criteria, we will let you know that you can take the PA Registration assessment (PARA) before you can apply for registration.

The PARA is developed and delivered by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) on our behalf. You will not be able to sit the exam until we accept your qualification, and we notify the RCP of this.

The PARA is a two part assessment and includes a knowledge-based assessment made up of a 200-question, single best answer test taken online. There is also, a 14-station objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), held at the Spine, Liverpool. You must pass both parts before you are able to apply for registration.

We will send you further information about how to book the exam once your qualification has been accepted.
