Making our decision

Once we’ve gathered all the information we need, one of our decision makers will review the evidence and decide whether to:

  • conclude the initial assessment with no further action
  • refer the concerns to senior decision makers.

If the concern is referred to our senior decision makers, they will review the evidence and decide whether we need to take action.

We will write to you with our decision and reasoning, and ask you to agree with the findings and proposed outcome.

If you accept the proposal, the measure will then take effect. If you do not accept, we will refer the case to an associates tribunal. Where we don’t hear from you, our senior decision makers will decide to put the proposed measure into effect or refer the case to an associates tribunal.

Once measures have taken effect, or we’ve referred you to a hearing, we'll update the person who shared the concern with us, and may notify your employer and other interested parties. We won't share any information about your health with others.
