Our data supporting the Medical Workforce Race Equality Standard in England 2022
Insight purpose
The Medical Workforce Race Equality Standard (MWRES), led by NHS England, is an important step in measuring and driving fairness in medicine. It supports how equality is already being measured for all health workers in England through the NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard (2015). This insight paper sets out the data we’re providing for the latest MWRES report, in three areas:
- revalidation recommendations
- postgraduate training
- fitness to practise complaints.
Through the MWRES, the health system in England can track if collective efforts to tackle inequalities are working.
