You’ll need to apply through GMC Online
You don't need to complete your application in one go. You can save your progress and return to it later on.
Check your personal details
Check that your personal details are correct, and update your postal or email address if these have changed. It's extremely important that you keep your addresses up to date on the medical register. We’ll need to email and write to you with information, initially for provisional registration but later for full registration.
University email accounts are often closed after you've graduated. You should provide us with a personal email address that you check regularly.
As your regulator, we need to be able to contact you. If we can't, there's a risk that you may be removed from the register. It's your responsibility to tell us about any changes to your email or postal addresses.
We don't publish your contact details on the medical register.
What if I need to change my name?
Your account is set up in the name your medical school gives us. To change your name before graduation, contact your medical school. They will update your name on their records and your GMC Online account.
If you change your name after you graduate, you can apply to change your name on the medical register.
