- The AA Registration Assessment (AARA)
If we accept your qualification meets our criteria, we will let you know that you can take the AA Registration assessment (AARA) which consists of two parts and you must pass both parts before you can apply for registration. However before you can sit this assessment, you will need to provide us with evidence of your English language. See our guidance for providing evidence of English language before sitting the AARA.
You will need to sit the AARA knowledge test first and this is delivered in person. Assessments currently take place in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London. Further details and costs of the assessment can be found in our guide to the knowledge test.
Once you’ve passed the knowledge test, you will also need to complete a clinical capability assessment (CCA). These will be run in person at our assessment centre in Manchester and further details and costs can be found in our guide to the CCA.
