Why is the pathway closing?

This pathway was set up under the provisions of the Swiss Citizens’ Rights Agreement signed between the UK and Switzerland. This agreement was time-limited and is expiring on 31 December 2024. This means we have to close the pathway, as we will no longer have the legal powers to facilitate it.

How can I apply for registration?

The right path for you will depend on your individual circumstance. It’s important that you check which route is most suitable for you using our online tool to understand fully what it might require, eg if there is an additional cost involved.

When do I have to send my application to be able to apply via the current pathway?

We have to receive your completed application form by 23:59GMT on 31 December 2024.
