Qualifying Swiss applicants

This guide explains who may be eligible to apply as a qualifying Swiss applicant.

Following the UK’s exit from the EU, the UK and Switzerland have agreed arrangements for qualifying Swiss applicants. Those who are eligible to be treated as a qualifying Swiss applicant will apply for registration with a licence to practice in a different way to other doctors and will need to contact us for an application form.
