Dr Jonathan Nigate, you have admitted and it has been found proved that: That being registered under the Medical Act 1983 (as amended): 1. On or around 6 July 2023 you submitted an application for provisional registration (‘the Application’) with the General Medical Council (‘GMC’) to the GMC, and you answered ‘No’ to the question ‘Has a medical school or university raised concerns about your professionalism or behaviour, that led to a formal process?’. 2. When you submitted the Application you knew that Brighton and Sussex Medical School were investigating an allegation against you for plagiarism for which you were due to attend an Academic Misconduct Investigating Panel Interview on 7 July 2023. 3. On the dates set out in Schedule 1, the GMC wrote to you requesting that you provide your completed Work Details Form (‘WDF’) and you failed to provide your fully completed WDF to the GMC in a reasonable timeframe. The Tribunal determined that your misconduct breached paragraphs 71a and 73 of GMP. Whilst these failings in themselves are not so serious as to require any restriction on your registration, it is necessary in response to issue this formal warning because the misconduct risks bringing the profession into disrepute and must not be repeated.
