on the registrant's registration
Warnings are issued to indicate when a registrant's behaviour or performance is significantly below the standards expected, but when restricting a registrant's practice is not necessary. See more on warnings.

Between 22 February 2022 and 29 January 2024 they inappropriately accessed their own medical records or those of close family members. They inappropriately made additions to their own records and they prescribed on one or more occasion for themselves and close family members when it was not an emergency situation.
This conduct does not meet with the standards required of a doctor. It risks bringing the profession into disrepute and it must not be repeated. The required standards are set out in Good medical practice and associated guidance. In this case, the following paragraph is particularly relevant:
16. In providing clinical care you must:
g. wherever possible, avoid providing medical care to yourself or anyone with whom you have a close personal relationship
Whilst these failings in themselves are not so serious as to require any restriction on their registration, it is necessary in response to issue this formal warning.
