Important notice - fraudulent calls

We have become aware that fraudulent calls are being made to members of the public from callers claiming to be from the GMC, asking to discuss the COVID-19 vaccine and health insurance. If you receive one of these calls, it’s important to follow the process detailed below.

What should you look out for?

The caller will say that they work for the GMC and they want to discuss the COVID-19 vaccine. They will ask for any health insurance details and start to provide a sales pitch. Please be aware that these calls are fraudulent and we are taking action with the instances we become made aware of.

What should you do?

We recommend that you report any incident to Action Fraud as it will assist with their investigation.
