Confidentiality: disclosing information for education and training purposes

This guidance sets out what to do if you need to use identifiable information about a patient.  It also has advice about using training records and case studies in teaching.

This guidance came into effect 25 April 2017.

The guidance was updated on 13 December 2024 when regulation of physician associates and anaesthesia associates by the GMC came into effect.
