National training surveys

The national training surveys are a core part of the work we carry out to monitor and report on the quality of postgraduate medical education and training in the UK. Every year we survey all doctors in training and trainers for their views. The guides on this page explain more about how to complete the surveys and how the responses drive improvements. You can find information for doctors in training, trainers, and deaneries and Health Education England (HEE) local teams.

2019 National Training survey closed
The National Training Survey is now closed, we are collating the results and will report on them later in the year. The surveys help us make sure that trainees receive high quality training, in a safe and effective clinical environment, and trainers are well supported in their role.
