Good practice in research: Respecting confidentiality

1. 31.  You must respect participants’ right to confidentiality, and make sure that any data collected as part of a research project are stored securely and in accordance with data protection and other requirements.
2. 32.  You must follow the guidance in Confidentiality, in particular the guidance in paragraphs 40-50 on research and other secondary uses, if you undertake records-based research that does not involve people directly.
