How do I set up a GMC Online account?

To set up your account you will need to verify certain information such as your date of birth and the email address we hold for you.

It's a simple process which should take you less than three minutes. Just click on the link below and follow the instructions.

When you receive your system-generated password please log in and amend it to something more memorable. Then you've set up your account and you're ready to use GMC Online.

I have a GMC reference number. I’m not sure if I have an active GMC Online account

If you registered with us after 1 December 2007 and made your application online you will have set up a GMC Online account. You can use our forgotten password process to log in to your account.

If you registered with us on or before 30 November 2007 and don’t remember applying online you will need to set up your online account.

If you applied at any time using a paper application form you will need to set up your online account.

I don't have a GMC reference number, how do I set up a GMC Online account?

If you do not have a GMC reference number it is likely you qualified outside the UK and want to apply for PLAB or registration with a licence to practise.
