Payment plans
Doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates can all pay annual fees in instalments by setting up a Direct Debit.
You can choose to pay in either quarterly or ten monthly instalments to make the fee more manageable over the year. You can also choose from one of five payment dates; 1st, 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th of the month, to ensure your account is debited at a time that suits you.

Tax relief
We are on the list of HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) approved organisations which means that doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates may be entitled to tax relief on their registration and annual fee. Further information can be found on the HMRC website.

We provide specific financial support for doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates with refugee status. Please read our guide Help with fees for refugees for more information.
Discounts for doctors
Currently we offer two discounts for doctors on annual fees:
- Fixed term discount is applied to newly qualified doctors, or doctors moving from provisional registration to full registration. This covers the first year of full registration and up to four years of discount on the annual fee.
- Income discount is available to doctors whose annual income is lower than the income threshold.
