Specialty specific guidance for the Portfolio pathway in Trauma and orthopaedic surgery

The 2021 Trauma and orthopaedic surgery curriculum was updated in August 2026.

For a transition period, you can make your Portfolio Pathway application against either the August 2026 (version 3) curriculum update, or the previous version of the curriculum.

This option is available until the transition deadline of 31 October 2027.

When you apply, please make sure you clearly indicate which curriculum update version that you wish to be assessed against. Please include a clear statement within the CV section of your application.
