Certificate of completion of training application

This guide is for doctors looking to apply for a certificate of completion of training and to join the Specialist or GP Registers.

A certificate of completion of training confirms a doctor has completed an approved UK training programme and is eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register or GP Register.

This will explain when we will award your certificate of completion of training and give guidance on your next steps to registration.

Important information for doctors intending to work as a GP in the UK

To start work as a GP in the UK, you'll need to complete a number of processes. Some of these are handled by organisations other than ourselves.

You must read our Working as a GP in the UK page for information about applying to join a performers' list and induction and returner schemes.

These are extra requirements for you to work as a GP in the UK.
