Being honest in your application

When you make your application you’ll be asked to make a declaration that the information you’ve given us in your application is true.

It’s your responsibility to make sure the information you give us is true and the evidence you give us is genuine.

Your evidence must clearly demonstrate you meet the standards and requirements for registration and in particular, your evidence must be objective. This means it is:

  • issued by a third party
  • based on facts
  • not influenced by personal relationships.

Our core guidance on professional standards, Good medical practice, includes standards of honesty and integrity. You must read this guidance before you apply, and you should follow the principles and values set out in it when you make your application and beyond.
