Parental responsibility and the child’s best interest
Christopher is five years old. His parents are divorced. His mother, Mrs Rees, brings him to see his GP, Dr Williams.
Mrs Rees is concerned that Christopher is being bullied about his ears sticking out. She would like them to be pinned back.
Dr Williams does not know whether this something that Christopher wants. She also does not know if Christopher’s dad knows about the request. Dr Williams must decide how to proceed.
