GMC Data Explorer
GMC Data Explorer provides an accessible way to explore and export our data on doctors.
The revalidation section provides a summary of prescribed connections and an overview of approved revalidation recommendations that are updated daily.
What can you do with this tool?
- Filter and compare recommendation information, including late recommendations, non engagement and deferrals across different groups of designated bodies.
- Filter and explore the demographics of doctors by designated body group.
- Export the data and graphics.
GMC Connect designated body dashboard
GMC Connect (requires login) is available to responsible officers and their delegates. It gives information specific to the designated bodies your account is associated with.
What can you do with this tool?
- See the number of doctors that have a connection to your designated body.
- View recommendation information, including late recommendations, non engagement and deferrals approved within the last 365 days.
- Get additional information about deferrals, including the average deferral period and chain deferrals.
- Use these data alongside GMC Data Explorer to give you a comparison of recommendation information.
Operational data reports, by country
These reports give a country-specific breakdown of approved recommendations by designated body. They also include a breakdown of these numbers by month.

Data from the first five years of revalidation
