Regulating doctors, ensuring good medical practice

Getting involved

The GMC Education Quality Team has recently recruited medical students to undertake visits to medical schools as part of its quality assurance process.  We are keen to engage with medical students using a variety of means.

How we learn from you

Medical students are the experts in what it’s like to be a medical student. So:

  • All quality assurance visit teams include medical students
  • All quality assurance reviews of medical schools incorporate meetings with students to find out what they think
  • Medical students are involved and consulted as we develop our guidance and policies, including Tomorrow’s Doctors and Medical students: professional behaviour and fitness to practise
  • We issue a regular e-bulletin to interested students that you can subscribe to.
