Specialty Curriculum and Associated Assessment System

Doctors wishing to undertake training in the specialty of Emergency medicine must first complete 2 years of  core training in an Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) programme. When this is successfully completed, trainees will undergo a further year of ACCS training tailored to Emergency medicine.

Once ACCS training is completed, higher specialty training is specific to Emergency medicine up to completion of training. CCT requires the completion of both core and higher approved training.
