Specialty Curriculum
Doctors wishing to undertake training in the specialty of Acute Internal Medicine must first complete 2 years of Specialty Training in a Core Medical Training (CMT) programme or Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) programme. From ST3 onwards training is specific to Acute Internal Medicine but the training to CCT requires the completion of both core and higher approved training.

The 2010 approved documentation for Acute Internal Medicine incorporates both the specialty curriculum and blueprinted assessment system.
