Sponsoring bodies in the UK
Each sponsor has its own scheme and applicants will have to satisfy the sponsor that they possess the knowledge, skills and experience for practising as a fully registered medical practitioner in the UK. Sponsors must be contacted directly for information about their scheme.
Please note that a core part of the sponsor’s criteria is that a doctor applying for an offer of sponsorship must have been engaged in medical practice for three out of the last five years including the most recent 12 months. Any doctor who does not meet these minimum criteria is unlikely to be able to supply sufficiently up to date evidence of their medical practice to support their application for registration and will not be issued with a Certificate of Sponsorship.
