Applying for registration with a licence to practise – graduates from named countries outside Europe who hold or have held provisional registration

This guidance provides information to doctors who hold or have previously held provisional registration with the GMC

AND

Hold a primary medical qualification from a university in one of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • South Africa
  • West Indies

OR

  • The University of Malaya on or before 31 December 1989

At the end of this guidance you will be given a link to download an application form to complete and an address to send it to.

  • Organise the supporting documentary evidence as detailed in the guidance
  • Download and complete an application form
  • Send your completed application form along with copies of your supporting documentary evidence by post. You can also send us the supporting documentary evidence as scanned e-mail attachments, however, the application form will still need to be posted to us as we need the original.
  • Visit one of our offices for an identity check
  • Pay the registration fee
