1. How to pay
When you apply for entry onto the Specialist Register with a CCT, CESR or CEGPR using GMC Online, you must pay by credit or debit card (Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro).
If you cannot apply online or pay by credit or debit card, please contact us for advice.
2. How much to pay
Fees for 2012/13 have been frozen at the levels set in 2011.
With effect from 15 December 2011 the fee for a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) is £390. For a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) or Certificate of Eligibility for GP Registration (CEGPR) the fee is £1500.
An application for a CESR or a CEGPR through the combined programme (CP) is £390. If you do not meet the criteria for applying through the combined programme route you will have to pay the full CESR or CEGPR fee of £1500.
Further information is set out on our fees page.
3. Tax relief and receipts
The GMC is on the list of HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) approved organisations. This means you may be entitled to tax relief on your certification fee. Further information can be found on the HMRC website.
You can print receipts for recent payments from your GMC Online account.
