This section provides guidance on how to make different types of application. Choose an option below to find the guidance that is right for you.

I am not currently registered and I want to apply:

1. 1. For registration with a licence to practise (I have never held registration with the GMC)
2. 2. For restoration to the Register (I have previously held registration with the GMC)  
3. 3. For registration as a team doctor for the 2017 IAAF World Athletics and IPC World ParaAthletics Championships

I am currently registered and I want to apply:

Full registration

1. 4. For full registration (I currently hold provisional registration and a licence to practise)
2. 5. For full registration (I currently hold provisional registration without a licence to practise)

Specialist and GP registration

1. 6. To join the Specialist Register or the GP Register
2. 7. For a sub-specialty to be added to my existing entry on the Specialist Register

Relinquishing

1. 8. To relinquish my licence to practise (and retain my name on the Register)
2. 9. To relinquish my registration (also known as voluntary erasure)

Licence to practise

1. 10. For a licence to practise (I have not previously held a licence to practise)
2. 11. For a licence to practise (I have previously held a licence to practise)
