Have you given us your designated body email address?

You should make sure that your GMC Connect account has the correct details for you and your organisation.

It’s important that you give us an email address for your designated body because it means:

  • You will be automatically notified if a doctor connects to your organisation or disconnects
  • Doctors connected to your organisation can contact you about revalidation – they can see the email address in their GMC Online account
  • We can send you information and updates about revalidation.

How to add or update your designated body email address

On the home page of your GMC Connect account, click on the ‘Responsible Officer Details’ tab. Enter or update your email address and click on the ‘Amend’ button to save your changes. You can find more information in step 6 of our GMC Connect guide.

We recommend using a group or team email address rather than your own, for example ‘revalidation@name.com’.

If you do not wish to receive email notifications when a doctor is added or removed from your list, you can select ‘no’ in the Responsible Officer details tab of your GMC Connect account
