Support accessing the identity check app

I can’t open the GMC identity check app.

When it’s time for you to complete an identity check, we’ll send you an email with a unique link to download the app on your phone. If you haven’t received a unique link, you won’t be able to open or use the app.

If you’ve received your unique link but are still having issues opening the app, check if the app has been downloaded to your phone. If it has, delete the app, then reinstall it and try opening it again.

If this doesn’t work, please make sure your device is compatible. You can complete your digital identity check on the following devices:

  • iOS – iPhone 5s or later
  • Android – most Android mobile phones introduced since 2015.

If you still can’t open the app, please contact us and an adviser will help you.

I’ve received an email asking me to complete a digital identity check, but I haven’t received an email that will allow me to download the GMC identity check app. What should I do now?

If you haven’t received an email from us with a link to download the GMC identity check app and complete your identity check, please take a look in your junk folder to make sure that it isn’t there.

If you still can’t find the email with a link to download the app, then please contact us. We’ll take your details and send you another email.
